The School Curriculum 2024/25

Years 7 to 9: Key Stage 3

Years 7 and 8 pupils are taught in their tutor groups for most subjects with smaller classes arranged for Art and Technology lessons.  In Year 9, more subjects will be taught in classes made up of a mixture of students from different tutor groups, giving students the opportunity to work with and learn from different peers.

  • Physical Education includes games, athletics, gymnastics and dance.
  • Technology includes Design in the areas of Food, Textiles, Electronics, Graphics, Resistant Materials and Engineering.
  • Personal Development Education lessons will incorporate personal, social, health, economic and citizenship education.
  • Leadership in Year 9 is studying outdoor education, leading to the Bronze Duke of Edinburgh award. Experience days in Year 9 will focus on outdoor education and the completion of the Bronze award.
